When you either submit an application for insurance through GTL or, once a policyholder, submit a claim under your policy, you will be given the option of choosing to receive updates on your application, claim, and/or billing status through SMS (text messages). You will also be required to participate in multi-factor authentication of your identity when you log into the customer portal, although that multi-factor authentication does not need to be by text message. You are not required to opt-in to text messages to apply for insurance through GTL or file a claim under your GTL policy. By opting in to or using our text message service, you have agreed to be bound by these SMS Terms of Service. You further acknowledge and represent that you are the authorized user of the mobile phone number that you provided or have been granted permission by the authorized user of the mobile phone number to enroll such mobile phone number in the service. If you do not agree with these SMS Terms of Service, you must immediately cease using the GTL text message service.

    

2. Although GTL does not impose an additional charge for this service, your mobile carrier’s message and data rates may apply. By enrolling in this service, you approve any charges that may be deducted from your prepaid balance or appear on your mobile phone bill. The number of messages you receive will vary depending on the number of text messages you have subscribed to, the number of policies and billing accounts you have, and your account activity.

    

3. You may opt out of the text message service at any time. Just text “STOP” to the short code. After you send the text message “STOP” to us, we will send you a text message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive text messages from us. If you want to receive text messages again, just contact us with your information at https://gtlic.com/contact-us/ and we will re-start sending text messages to you. You also may be opted out of certain text message services if you change your mobile carrier. And you will be opted out of text message services if you change your mobile phone number.
